Happy Sunshine Academy was born from the calling of a missionary family — a pastor, his wife, and their five children — with a deep desire to serve, teach, and walk alongside parents in the God-given responsibility of raising and discipling their children.
 

Our founder began as a teacher who loved education but felt there was something missing. While homeschooling her firstborn, she discovered that many families were searching for guidance, structure, and support. What started as simple help for a few homeschool parents soon became something much bigger.
 

She began teaching online, creating personalized bilingual curriculums, and crafting learning experiences rooted in her specialized training in curriculum writing, bilingual education and neuroeducation.
 

From this passion, she developed HSA’s own curriculum, designed to:

• support how the brain learns best,

• strengthen memory and comprehension,

• promote joyful, meaningful learning, and

• intentionally build character and faith.
   

Soon, families started gathering in our basement classroom, where face-to-face teaching, prayer, and community became the heart of our work. As more parents shared their needs — both in the U.S. and internationally — God opened the doors for HSA to grow into a fully online bilingual Christian academy.
 

Today, Happy Sunshine Academy serves students across the U.S. and Mexico, offering:
